The iShares Russell 1000 Index Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the large capitalization sector of the U.S. equity market, as represented by the Russell 1000 Index. The index represents the approximately 1,000 largest companies in the Russell 3000 Index.
The Index measures the performance of the large capitalization sector of the U.S. equity market. It is a subset of the Russell 3000 Index and serves as the underlying index for the Russell 1000 Growth and Value Indices, and the Russell Top 200 and MidCap series. The Index is capitalization-weighted and represents the approximately 1,000 largest companies in the Russell 3000 Index. Component companies are adjusted for available float and must meet objective criteria for inclusion to the Index. Reconstitution is annual.
